5月30日，驻琅勃拉邦总领事张社平出席“粽香传情·共话中老友谊”端午节主题文化体验活动并致辞。活动由苏发努冯大学孔子学院主办。琅勃拉邦市委书记萨南、苏发努冯大学校长维拉及琅省政府有关部门、中资机构负责人等出席。

张社平表示，端午节是中华民族的传统节日。它蕴含家国情怀，传承伟大的诗人屈原体现的爱国主义精神。它以吃粽子、赛龙舟、挂艾草、佩香囊等为鲜明的文化符号，表达勇往直前、驱邪祈福之意。老挝在不同时节也有类似习俗，这反映出文化交流与文明互鉴。期待大家通过这一活动，感受中华传统文化魅力，传承中老友谊，促进民心相通。祝愿拥有爱国主义传统的中老两国人民不断战胜前进道路上的艰难险阻，取得社会主义建设事业的胜利。

On May 30, Consul General Zhang Sheping attended the Dragon Boat Festival themed cultural experience activity "Zongzi Fragrance Expresses Feelings and Talks about China-Laos Friendship" and delivered a speech. The activity was hosted by the Confucius Institute of Souphanouvong University. Sanan, Secretary of the Luang Prabang Municipal Party Committee, Vira, President of Souphanouvong University, and heads of relevant departments of the Luang Prabang Provincial Government and Chinese-funded institutions attended the event.

Zhang Sheping said that the Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. It contains family and country feelings and inherits the patriotic spirit embodied by the great poet Qu Yuan. It uses eating zongzi, dragon boat racing, hanging wormwood, and wearing sachets as distinctive cultural symbols to express the meaning of moving forward courageously, exorcising evil spirits and praying for blessings. Laos also has similar customs in different seasons, which reflects cultural exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations. I hope that everyone will feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture, inherit China-Laos friendship, and promote people-to-people exchanges through this activity. I wish the people of China and Laos, who have a patriotic tradition, will continue to overcome the difficulties and obstacles on the road ahead and achieve victory in the cause of socialist construction.
