On June 1st, Luang Prabang Province, Laos, held a tree-planting event in the Phuphong Protected Forest Area, the water source protection area of the Mineral Water Plant, to celebrate International Children's Day and National Tree Planting Day, as well as World Environment Day and National Environment Day.

Deputy Consul General Zhang Hequn of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Luang Prabang was invited to attend the event along with Luang Prabang Provincial Government Chairman Bounle, representatives of international organizations such as the EU in Laos, the head of the Mineral Water Plant, representatives of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang, and guests from various provinces.

This year marks the 46th National Tree Planting Day in Laos. The event aimed to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting forests and the environment and to mobilize the entire population to participate in afforestation. The atmosphere was lively, with everyone planting saplings together. Luang Prabang Province also held a handover ceremony with Oudomxay Province to become the host of the 2027 World Environment Day and National Environment Day celebrations.
