On June 5, Consul General Zhang Sheping met with Songphong, Standing Committee Member of the Luang Prabang Provincial Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Front and Chairman of the Provincial Front for National Construction.

Both sides agreed to take the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos and the "China-Laos Friendship Year" as an opportunity to actively implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the Luang Prabang Provincial Front for National Construction and local provincial and municipal CPPCC committees in China, unite and mobilize people and organizations from all walks of life in the region to actively participate in the cause of China-Laos friendship, and contribute to the building of a China-Laos community with a shared future.
