On June 15, Consul General Zhang Sheping held a lecture on China-Laos relations at the Luang Prabang Provincial School of Political and Administrative Affairs. Principal Phouthong, teacher representatives, and over 80 students from the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Cadre Training Program (both mid-level and grassroots levels) attended.

Zhang Sheping introduced the visit of Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith to China and the important outcomes of the meeting between the top leaders of the two parties and countries. He stated that on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, the top leaders of the two parties and countries announced the building of an all-weather China-Laos community with a shared future for a new era, providing strategic guidance for the development of bilateral relations. Both sides should take the "five highs" as a path to promote China-Laos relations and their respective modernization efforts into a new stage, setting an example for building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Before the lecture, Zhang Sheping met with Principal Phouthong, exchanged views on strengthening exchanges between local party schools in China and Laos, and presented the school with Lao-language books including "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" and "Getting Rid of Poverty."
