On July 1, Consul General Zhang Sheping hosted a reception to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. More than 120 people attended, including Bounlek, Chairman of Luang Prabang Province, Khamphong, Chairman of Luang Namtha Province, and other government officials from the six northern provinces of Laos; Vu Ngoc Ly, Consul General of Vietnam in Luang Prabang; students from the political and administrative schools of the six provinces; representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese; and representatives of overseas Chinese communities.

Zhang Sheping stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, comprehensively reviewing and summarizing the great achievements created by the Party in uniting and leading the people, and issuing a great call to strive to create new historical glories. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos and the "China-Laos Friendship Year," as well as the year in which bilateral relations have been elevated to a new era of all-weather community with a shared future. The Consulate General is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the six provinces in its consular district and make new contributions.

Representatives from all walks of life highly praised the glorious history of the Communist Party of China and watched the Lao-language video "Xi Jinping, the Communist Party Member."

The atmosphere at the reception was warm and enthusiastic.
