On July 20, Consul General Zhang Sheping met with Provincial Party Secretary Khamking and Provincial Government Chairman Khamfong during his visit to Luang Namtha Province in his consular district.

Zhang Sheping stated that Luang Namtha Province, bordering Yunnan Province, shares a deep traditional friendship. As an important international port in northern Laos and the cross-border point of the China-Laos Railway, Luang Namtha Province possesses unique geographical advantages. Currently, China-Laos relations are at their best historical level. China is willing to work with Luang Namtha Province to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, deepen pragmatic cooperation, promote cultural exchanges, and advance the building of an all-weather China-Laos community with a shared future in the new era.

Khamking and Khamfong expressed their gratitude for China's support and assistance, and stated that Luang Namtha Province is willing to uphold the "four good" spirit of good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners, leverage its local advantages, and vigorously strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China.
