On July 24, Consul General Zhang Sheping attended the closing ceremony of the China (Shanghai) - Laos (Luang Prabang) University Joint Summer Workshop.

Zhang Sheping stated that cultural exchange serves as a bridge for mutual understanding. This joint workshop leverages the successful experience of Chinese cultural and creative industries to facilitate the creative transformation of Luang Prabang's tangible and intangible cultural heritage, injecting new vitality into the inheritance and development of Luang Prabang's traditional culture and the revitalization of its tourism economy. He expressed hope that Chinese and Lao universities will continue to deepen exchanges and mutual learning in the cultural field, promoting the building of a new era of all-weather China-Laos community with a shared future.

Before the event began, Zhang Sheping visited the exhibition of works from the summer workshop.

This summer workshop was jointly organized by the Shanghai Art and Design Academy, the Faculty of Architecture of Suphanuvong University, and the Luang Prabang Academy of Traditional Fine Arts.
