On July 30, a tree-planting activity to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos and the "China-Laos Friendship Year" was held in Tingsong Village, Luang Prabang. Consul General Zhang Sheping, Chairman of the Luang Prabang Municipal Administrative Committee Saveuy, representatives from provincial and municipal agricultural and environmental departments, and villagers participated.

Zhang Sheping stated that, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos and the "China-Laos Friendship Year," holding a tree-planting activity in Tingsong Village, an "international sister village" of Shibadong Village, the birthplace of the important concept of "targeted poverty alleviation," is not only a measure to demonstrate green and sustainable development cooperation, but also a concrete action to continue the friendship between China and Laos. He expressed hope that all sectors of China and Laos would work together to be practitioners of China-Laos friendship and continuously promote the building of an all-weather China-Laos community with a shared future in the new era.

Saveuy stated that the tree-planting activity in Tingsong Village is a manifestation of Lao-Chinese friendship and is conducive to improving the local ecological environment and promoting sustainable tourism development.

A total of 65 trees were planted in Tingsong Village and along nearby roads during the activity.
