On August 7, Consul General Zhang Sheping published an article in the *Luang Prabang Daily* entitled "China and Laos Join Hands with the International Community to Build a Just and Reasonable Global Artificial Intelligence Governance System."

The article points out that the world is currently undergoing rapid changes, with a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation accelerating. Global artificial intelligence (AI) technological innovation is entering an unprecedented period of activity, presenting both tremendous opportunities and governance challenges. China's initiative to establish a World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization will significantly enhance the representation and voice of Global South countries in global AI governance, marking a significant milestone in the history of AI development. China is willing to work with all parties, including Laos, with a more open attitude, more pragmatic actions, and a longer-term vision to seize and address the opportunities and challenges of AI development, ensuring its healthy and orderly development in a beneficial, safe, and fair direction, and jointly creating a better future for humankind.
