On September 25, Consul General Zhang Sheping hosted a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Guests included Kham Kheng, Secretary of the Luang Namtha Provincial Party Committee; Kham Vong, Chairman of the Luang Namtha Provincial Party Committee; Boun Kham, Secretary of the Bokeo Provincial Party Committee; Boun Le, Chairman of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee; Son Di, Chairman of the Phongsaly Provincial Party Committee; Consul General Vu Ngoc Ly of Vietnam; and representatives from Chinese-funded institutions, overseas Chinese, and other sectors in the consular district.

Zhang Sheping stated that China has created two miracles: rapid economic development and long-term social stability. It is comprehensively advancing the construction of a strong nation and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization, actively implementing the four major global initiatives, and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The "comrades plus brothers" friendship between China and Laos has stood the test of time and is now building a new era of all-weather community with a shared future. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos. The Consulate General will successfully organize the "65 Projects in 65 Years" exchange and cooperation activities in the consular district, transforming bilateral consensus into tangible benefits for the people.

Guests celebrated the founding of the People's Republic of China, wished for the enduring friendship between China and Laos, and experienced traditional cultural displays at Chinese schools and Confucius Institutes in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
